North Carolina Barrel Monster
Joseph Carnevale, a history major at North Carolina State University, had a vision, and that vision was a “Barrel Monster”. He stole a few barrels from a construction site to come up with this vision of grandeur you see in front of you.
After the police discovered who it was, they, of course, arrested him. But, the community created an uproar… they want their new acclaimed street artists back out on the streets. The public and even the construction company he stole from are now considering him a local celebrity and are even asking for a replica to be made. (The original was dismantled by the police after the arrest.)
Either way, I think the “barrel monster” is pretty sweet. You can read the original article here. It apparently happened back in June, but I’m just now seeing it, so I thought I might share it with you.
