Vinylville – Viee Phakphoom

So, everybody loves the vinyl laptop designs that Vinylville AKA: Viee Phakphoom has been sending our way. But, who is Viee? Well, Viee is a Corporate Graphic Designer by day and Artist by night. He says he has the pure passion to create images with vinyl and anything else he can get his hands on!

Although you’ve only seen his laptop decals on our site, Viee is quite a talented artist and sells out almost all his shows. Therefore, he’s been too busy between his day job and steady artist night job to create artwork for us to put up for sale on the site, but I’ll give you a sneak peek of some of his previous works to give you an idea of the goodies he has in store for you.

The first is a layered vinyl and glass work called Disconnected that speaks volumes about his talent. And the second is a shot of his living room as he’s gearing up for a show. If he ever gets around to recreating any of this work or creating some new stuff, I’ve already got my eye set on the Colored Cassette Tapes piece…. so, hands off.

Megan Westerkamp

Megan Westerkamp is a Colorado native living in Steamboat Springs, which is where we met her during our days as snowboard bums. A good friend of ours and my fellow craft nights enthusiast back in the day, Megan works as a childrens’ ski instructor, art framer, and jewelry maker… but we’re mainly interested in her jewelry as far as this site goes.

She’s inspired by the world around her, by nature, and it shows in her work. Each item is handmade from a variety of metals or beads and is one of a kind. Snag one of her etched cuffs or her latest earrings.

Akinz is a small clothing line designed and run by our site’s own, Suzanne Akin.

Our motto, “Find your wings” is about finding that one thing that moves you, the one thing that makes you push your limits and reach for the sky. Because, after all, life is too short to settle for the ordinary.

We like to think that we cater to people who love the lifestyle we love… those who keep pushing themselves to try new things, that wake up at 5:30 to get fresh powder or a sunrise wakeboard set even if they were out the night before. People that get excited at the beginning of each season because they know that soon they will be carving the slopes, or climbing rocks, or being pulled behind a boat on a glassy lake. We love all these things, but mainly we love life, we love excitement and we want you to too.

Akinz was founded in November of 2005 in a 1-bedroom apartment in Houston by Suzanne Akin. It started as just one shirt and has been growing slowly ever since.
